December 18 Windows Live Web Activities ExplainedCommonCraft posted a video that explains a bit about web activities in Windows Live Wave 3. The approach is very creative and they do a great job of storytelling. This release of Windows Live is very focused on bringing the many disconnected sites that make up our social graphs (Twitter, Facebook, Pandora, etc.) together in one place for the people we connect with…without forcing us to change our Technorati Tags: Windows Live habits or where we post. Its like a lot of really great things in life that are vaguely interesting until you try them, and then they become indispensible (DVRs, for example). Check it out: March 16 Michael Scherotter interview with Ice CubeI met Michael Scherotter at Seattle Mind Camp a few years ago. Michael was a developer evangelist for MindJet at the time, and he introduced me to the addictive joy (for those of us who like to think visually) of MindManager, probably the most popular of the mindmapping applications. He is a quintessential evangelist: passionate, articulate, and curious; Michael is seriously interested in what you do and loves to come up with new ways to make it better for you. Microsoft is a lucky company for recruiting him. It's worth checking out his interview with Ice Cube over on Channel9. Link: Interview with Ice Cube January 02 Welcome back RussellRussell Beattie just announced he's switching back to Windows. I read Russell's posts on his decision to switch to the Mac about a year ago with a lot of interest. At the time I was working on presentations and demos that showed examples of Experience Computing, and Mac switchers writing about their reasons were extremely interesting reading.
Welcome back to the chaos, and the fun :-) |
