    Windows Live Web Activities Explained

CommonCraft posted a video that explains a bit about web activities in Windows Live Wave 3. The approach is very creative and they do a great job of storytelling.

This release of Windows Live is very focused on bringing the many disconnected sites that make up our social graphs (Twitter, Facebook, Pandora, etc.) together in one place for the people we connect with…without forcing us to change our

Michael Scherotter interview with Ice Cube

I met Michael Scherotter at Seattle Mind Camp a few years ago. Michael was a developer evangelist for MindJet at the time, and he introduced me to the addictive joy (for those of us who like to think visually) of MindManager, probably the most popular of the mindmapping applications. He is a quintessential evangelist: passionate, articulate, and curious; Michael is seriously interested in what you do and loves to come up with new ways to make it better for you. Microsoft is a lucky company for recruiting him.

It's worth checking out his interview with Ice Cube over on Channel9.

Winding down from the Windows Vista RTM menagerie

Hit the hay at 11pm last night...woke up at 11am this morning. Well, I didn't so much wake up as got prodded awake by Josi who was sick of being cooped up and needed me conscious enough to answer when she asked if she could go out to play.

A hits of java later and I was awake enough to realize I hadn't exactly fulfilled my sleep debt, but I did make a big enough payment to keep the my kneecaps.

I have some photos and lots of video from this week that would be interesting to post. And now that I'm armed with a Soapbox account and a < 120 hour work week I'll see about starting this whole blogging (as the kids call it) thing by getting some content up.

    Welcome back Russell

Russell Beattie just announced he's switching back to Windows. I read Russell's posts on his decision to switch to the Mac about a year ago with a lot of interest. At the time I was working on presentations and demos that showed examples of Experience Computing, and Mac switchers writing about their reasons were extremely interesting reading.

Welcome back to the chaos, and the fun :-)

    Loving the Disney Scene It

Dawn's dad lives in FL near Orlando and is an unabashed amusement park junkie and Disney-phile. For Christmas this year he sent us Disney Scene It? Deluxe...boy did he nail the perfect gift for us. The Calafatos are a competitive family, and with a 7 year old and an almost 5 year old in the house Disney is a one of the few subjects over which we can compete relatively equally. We've been enjoying at least an hour of gameplay daily since we cracked it open. If you like Disney movies, this is a must have.

    Almost TechEd time...

Dick Carlson, the guy who owns TechEd Hands-on Labs, is already down there getting things set up for opening day. He emailed this photo to me this morning...the PCs are humming, next step is wiring them up to the network.
